Card Art with Copics: Ladybug Crafts Ink Tomboy Jess

I've tossed my obligations and commitments into the wind and spent some time trying to figure out how to use a non-Christmas image on a Christmas card to meet the current month long Ladybug Crafts Ink Christmas in July challenge.

This Ladybug Crafts Ink image of a typical teenage tomboy from The Teenagers series seems as though she could be a bit torn between being rebellious in her independence yet finding comfort in some childhood memories.  I suspect she'd be a jokester too so I tried to find a way to use her on a humorous card.  You can find Tomboy Jess here.

This photo shows a closer view of my Copic-filled image . . .

I've layered patterned paper from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle Collection with Bazzill cardstock.  Several red mini square fasteners adorn my corners.  I've die cut a QuicKutz Santa Hat from an older Vixen set and a present to help further my theme.  Handmade poinsettias formed from layered punched shapes provide additional Christmas-theme accents.  A fun rubberstamped saying from Rubber Cottage adds some humor to my card.

Here's a photo of my completed card front showing my use of Tomboy Jess . . .
