Why Rosie's Book?

While growing up, I had a dear friend, Renee, that lived next door and with whom I spent much of my childhood. We grew, in different directions, and went on our merry way. Many years later, I ran into her parents and they kindly reminded me of the laughs they still have over my book. “What book?” I wondered with a puzzled look. "I don't remember a book." Hardy laughter accompanied their response. At some time during our childhood, I tried to convince Renee about something that her parents didn’t agree with. I told her that proof of its truth could be found “in my book.” Naturally she went home and tried to convince her parents of the same thing but they weren’t falling for it. She needed an edge and told them emphatically, “It’s in Rosie’s book!” After they caught their breaths from reborn laughter, they let me know how “Rosie’s book” has been cited for many other things throughout the years. They’ve also mentioned that they’d like to see “Rosie’s book” one day. I can’t remember all of the things that I said were in “my book” but I’m sure my dear friend’s parents can recall much more than I ever knew about – LOL!!! So, here it is . . . my version of things you might find In Rosie’s Book . . .

Crafts and Me Stamps Challenge: My Sentiments Exactly!

The Dynamite Digi design team over at the Crafts and Me Stamps' challenge blog wants to see you add a sentiment to the front of your card.  Crafts and Me Stamps is sponsoring this challenge and offering THREE digital images to a randomly selected entry. You can find out more about this challenge here.

I've used a digi image of a beautiful scene of a loving mother with her baby, named A Loving Snuggle, designed by one of Crafts and Me Stamps' newest artists, Teresa Sherman.  You can get your own A Loving Snuggle image here.

Here's a closer view of my Copic-filled image.

I've layered Punch Bunch daisy, sun and leaf punches to add coordinating handmade accent daisies, painted lightly with Star Dust Stickles.  A QuicKutz diecut baby rattle is tied with a gold cord bow.

Layers of Miss Elizabeth's "Little One" patterned paper with Bazzill cardstock form my side open card.  A bit of Wrights 1/4" lace adds a delicate border and bow.  Zig Pure Violet faux stitching borders my layers.  A few Basic Grey Urban Prairie colored buttons lines one corner.  Swirls of Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Fanciful Flourish and Want2Scrap Maxxi Girl - AmberR adorn one side of my image.

Here's a view of my completed card front showing how I've added a sentiment from a Whimsy Stamps Crissy Armstrong Maya Making Wishes digital set to my card using the digital image called A Loving Snuggle by Teresa Sherman.

and a view of the inside showing a Rubber Cottage "Every Child" sentiment and a few QuicKutz diecuts of a rocking horse, baby pin and pacifier coated with glossy accents for dimension and shine . . .

You've just got to hop over to the Crafts and Me Stamps Challenge blog to see how the amazingly talented Dynamite Digi girls have shown their use of sentiments while using Crafts and Me Stamps digital images on their fabulous projects!
