Why Rosie's Book?

While growing up, I had a dear friend, Renee, that lived next door and with whom I spent much of my childhood. We grew, in different directions, and went on our merry way. Many years later, I ran into her parents and they kindly reminded me of the laughs they still have over my book. “What book?” I wondered with a puzzled look. "I don't remember a book." Hardy laughter accompanied their response. At some time during our childhood, I tried to convince Renee about something that her parents didn’t agree with. I told her that proof of its truth could be found “in my book.” Naturally she went home and tried to convince her parents of the same thing but they weren’t falling for it. She needed an edge and told them emphatically, “It’s in Rosie’s book!” After they caught their breaths from reborn laughter, they let me know how “Rosie’s book” has been cited for many other things throughout the years. They’ve also mentioned that they’d like to see “Rosie’s book” one day. I can’t remember all of the things that I said were in “my book” but I’m sure my dear friend’s parents can recall much more than I ever knew about – LOL!!! So, here it is . . . my version of things you might find In Rosie’s Book . . .

Elisabeth Bell's New Flower Soft: Simpler Times Collection

In August of 2012, Elisabeth Bell shared some very exciting news that she's joining the artists at Flower Soft. (You can read all about August's news here.)  That time has come and today Elisabeth is introducing six new digital designs to her Flower Soft: Simpler Times Collection.  These amazingly detailed images include digital file downloads of toppers, background papers, frames, decoupage elements and more.  Pop over to her blog to read all about Elisabeth's latest release here.

I've had the honor of working with this wonderful "One Sunny Day" image from Elisabeth's new Flower Soft: Simpler Times Collection.  I'm thrilled to join Elisabeth in celebrating the introduction of this addition to her digital gallery and her exciting new relationship with Flower Soft.

Here's a closer view of my Copic-filled image.  I've used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Cloud Trio Set to mask when airbrushing my sky.  I've attempted to add some light reflections to the water.  Pretty enough, right?

Now look at the magical dimension and beautiful "touch me" quality that's added when Flower Soft is placed throughout this already fabulous image!  The green Flower Soft covered areas include my handmix of 3 greens (Christmas, Shamrock and Pale).  The flowers are covered with Flower Soft's Summer mix.  Gotta love it!

The One Sunny Day Backing Paper 3_letter floral patterned paper from this digital collection, printed onto textured white cardstock, is layered with Bazzill cardstock to form my Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Labels One-shaped easel card.  Satin Sensations Island Blue ribbon forms my simple bow.

The card base supports the front and shows a My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Goldfish Girl sentiment.

Pop over to Elisabeth Bell's Digital Gallery (here) to see all that she's added to her Flower Soft: Simpler Times Collection!  These new digital downloads will retail at $7.99, but you can celebrate with us now by taking advantage of a half-price promotion through April 23rd!  You'll be astonished at all that's included in each of these digital file downloads!

If you don't love digital designs as much as I do, four Simpler Times clear stamp and sentiment collections are available at Flower Soft or Katy Sue Designs.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
