Why Rosie's Book?

While growing up, I had a dear friend, Renee, that lived next door and with whom I spent much of my childhood. We grew, in different directions, and went on our merry way. Many years later, I ran into her parents and they kindly reminded me of the laughs they still have over my book. “What book?” I wondered with a puzzled look. "I don't remember a book." Hardy laughter accompanied their response. At some time during our childhood, I tried to convince Renee about something that her parents didn’t agree with. I told her that proof of its truth could be found “in my book.” Naturally she went home and tried to convince her parents of the same thing but they weren’t falling for it. She needed an edge and told them emphatically, “It’s in Rosie’s book!” After they caught their breaths from reborn laughter, they let me know how “Rosie’s book” has been cited for many other things throughout the years. They’ve also mentioned that they’d like to see “Rosie’s book” one day. I can’t remember all of the things that I said were in “my book” but I’m sure my dear friend’s parents can recall much more than I ever knew about – LOL!!! So, here it is . . . my version of things you might find In Rosie’s Book . . .

Crafts and Me Stamps Challenge: Pink and Sparkly

The digi design team over at the Crafts and Me Challenge Blog wants to see your Pink and Sparkly creations.  Crafty Ribbons is sponsoring this challenge and a randomly selected entry will receive a package of yummy ribbons.  You can find out more about this challenge and the sponsor here.

I've printed this lovely Autumn fairy image, designed by Sara Burrier for Crafts and Me Stamps, onto Bazzill Smooth White and filled her using my Copic colors.  I've painted Diamond Stickles over her wings and full length scarf for a special glimmery effect.

I've die cut some of the scraps from my card using the Memory Box Small Pinwheel Posie die to form my rolled flowers cluster.  A KI Memories Posh rhinestone fills each flower center and a bit of Diamond Stickles covers them for added sparkle too.

A sheet of Wild Rose Studio "Spring Fling" is layered over Bazzill cardstock to form my card.  A Spellbinder's Postage Stamp die cut frames my image and adds a background layer.  A piece of Bazzill's Just the Edge cardstock strip adds a threading ribbon border for my Satin Sensations 5/8" light pink ribbon and full bow.  I've included a lovely sentiment from a Close to My Heart "Say It In Style" set.  A Spellbinder's Heartfelt Creations Belle Rose die cut is layered with Prima's Say It In Crystals swirl gems and a few Creative Memories nesting heart punches to form a side border.

This view shows my completed card front where I've used Sara Burrier's Autumn digital image.

She's beautiful and I love the pinks you chose to do her in. I love the images you choose for your cards. Loving fantasy, the fairies and mermaids are my favorite and every time I come to your page I see another beautiful image that I never even knew existed. I have a feeling you're not going to be good for my pocket book lol!
