Why Rosie's Book?

While growing up, I had a dear friend, Renee, that lived next door and with whom I spent much of my childhood. We grew, in different directions, and went on our merry way. Many years later, I ran into her parents and they kindly reminded me of the laughs they still have over my book. “What book?” I wondered with a puzzled look. "I don't remember a book." Hardy laughter accompanied their response. At some time during our childhood, I tried to convince Renee about something that her parents didn’t agree with. I told her that proof of its truth could be found “in my book.” Naturally she went home and tried to convince her parents of the same thing but they weren’t falling for it. She needed an edge and told them emphatically, “It’s in Rosie’s book!” After they caught their breaths from reborn laughter, they let me know how “Rosie’s book” has been cited for many other things throughout the years. They’ve also mentioned that they’d like to see “Rosie’s book” one day. I can’t remember all of the things that I said were in “my book” but I’m sure my dear friend’s parents can recall much more than I ever knew about – LOL!!! So, here it is . . . my version of things you might find In Rosie’s Book . . .

Crafts and Me Stamps Challenge: Airy Spring Colors

The digi design team over at the Crafts and Me Stamps challenge blog wants to see your Light Airy Spring Colours.  Crafts and Me Stamps is sponsoring this challenge and offering THREE digi images of the winner's choice to a randomly selected entry.  You can find out more about this challenge and the sponsor here.

I've used a recently released digi image named July, designed by Sara Burrier, exclusively for Crafts and Me Stamps.

Here's a closer view of my Copic-filled image . . .

It makes me happy when I'm able to create handmade flowers that coordinate perfectly with my project.  I've used punched cosmos, suns and leaves to create my Asters.  Punched daisies and leaves with a pearl center form my layered daisies.  A few blossom punches with an ash leaf are shining with their rhinestone centers.  All are painted with a layer of Diamond Stickles glitter glue for extra sparkle.  Here's a closer view of one of my flower clusters . . .

Bits of Making Memories Flower Patch papers are layered with Bazzill cardstock to form my easel card.  A Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle frames my image.  Use of a corner rounder on my image and sentiment soften the corners nicely.  A strip of Wright's Creative Classics 1/2" nylon lace adds an airy touch.  Hot Off the Press pastel butterfly brads adorn two corners.  My stamped Happy Birthday message is from a Close To My Heart From Me to You set.  Here's a closer view of my card front . . .

A sentiment from a Hero Arts Just Find Me set seems appropriate for the inside of my card.  I've also used a QuicKutz scalloped photo corner and shooting star.  A few Creative Impressions Bits of Bling White Pearls adds to the softness of my card.  Here's a closer view of the inside of my card . . .

This view shows my completed easel card where I showcase my use of the Crafts and Me Stamps digital image named July by Sara Burrier . . .
