Why Rosie's Book?

While growing up, I had a dear friend, Renee, that lived next door and with whom I spent much of my childhood. We grew, in different directions, and went on our merry way. Many years later, I ran into her parents and they kindly reminded me of the laughs they still have over my book. “What book?” I wondered with a puzzled look. "I don't remember a book." Hardy laughter accompanied their response. At some time during our childhood, I tried to convince Renee about something that her parents didn’t agree with. I told her that proof of its truth could be found “in my book.” Naturally she went home and tried to convince her parents of the same thing but they weren’t falling for it. She needed an edge and told them emphatically, “It’s in Rosie’s book!” After they caught their breaths from reborn laughter, they let me know how “Rosie’s book” has been cited for many other things throughout the years. They’ve also mentioned that they’d like to see “Rosie’s book” one day. I can’t remember all of the things that I said were in “my book” but I’m sure my dear friend’s parents can recall much more than I ever knew about – LOL!!! So, here it is . . . my version of things you might find In Rosie’s Book . . .

Card Art with Copics: Holly's Happy Mail

This lovely young lady has just received some mail that makes her very happy.  Don't we all just love happy mail?!?!?  Today she's definitely feeling the love!  She is a digital image, named Holly's Happy Mail, designed by Elisabeth Bell.  You can get your own Holly's Happy Mail at Elisabeth Bell's Digital Gallery here.

This photo shows my Copic-filled image.

My Mind's Eye A Beautiful Life 6x6 patterns are layered with Bazzill Bling Blind Date (light blue), Sweetheart (pink) and Tootsie Bling (orange) to create my card.  A Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Daisy Edge punch adds a delicate border to the lower left.  My image is shaped and matted with Lifestyle Crafts Large Ovals die cuts.  A couple of Lifestyle Crafts Large Scalloped Circles peek out from behind my image and sentiment.  A Close To My Heart Helen Keller quote comes from a 25th anniversary set.  Several handmade plum blossoms, made from Punch Bunch punches, are scattered around my sentiment and image.  Zva's self-adhesive rhinestones add some happy swirly movement throughout.  A QuicKutz open heart adds a loving touch to the upper right corner.

This photo shows the front of my side open card, displaying Elisabeth Bell's Holly's Happy Mail digital image . . .

The inside is decorated to match the front.  I've added a loving sentiment from a Close To My Heart Sensational Season set.  A QuicKutz matted heart die cut lies beneath a QuicKutz XO die cut to share more love.
