Why Rosie's Book?

While growing up, I had a dear friend, Renee, that lived next door and with whom I spent much of my childhood. We grew, in different directions, and went on our merry way. Many years later, I ran into her parents and they kindly reminded me of the laughs they still have over my book. “What book?” I wondered with a puzzled look. "I don't remember a book." Hardy laughter accompanied their response. At some time during our childhood, I tried to convince Renee about something that her parents didn’t agree with. I told her that proof of its truth could be found “in my book.” Naturally she went home and tried to convince her parents of the same thing but they weren’t falling for it. She needed an edge and told them emphatically, “It’s in Rosie’s book!” After they caught their breaths from reborn laughter, they let me know how “Rosie’s book” has been cited for many other things throughout the years. They’ve also mentioned that they’d like to see “Rosie’s book” one day. I can’t remember all of the things that I said were in “my book” but I’m sure my dear friend’s parents can recall much more than I ever knew about – LOL!!! So, here it is . . . my version of things you might find In Rosie’s Book . . .

Ladybug Crafts Ink carries a fabulous line of cuddly bear images featuring Billie Bear and Baby Billie that can be used on current day projects to share loving thoughts and wishes.  I've used the newly released digital image named Baby Billie's Blocks on a gift card for a baby boy.

This view shows my Copic-filled image.  I used the Nasty Rag Technique to add Billie's furry texture. Inkssentials Enamel Accents in black adds lively dimension to Billie's eyes.

Layers of Bazzill pastel-colored cardstock are bordered with faux stitching and Best Creation's Sweet Baby glitter double-sided patterned paper to form my card.  A Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Loops Heart edge punch adds a loving border above and below my image.  Provo Craft's Paper Shapers Deckle-edge scissors add some texture to a matting behind the image.  An EK Success Paper Shapers Photo Corner Scallop punch is topped with a Stampendous Class A'Peels Victorian Borders Gold sticker.

The "New Baby" Magnolia Stamps text is surrounded by more of the Class A'Peels gold border stickers.

A Satin Sensations 5/8" Island Blue ribbon border and bow adds bright color while a Prima's pearl centered blue layered daisy, Recollections dark blue Mulberry Paper Roses and small light blue roses are set above a Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Fanciful Flourish diecut.

Here's a view of my completed card front showcasing Ladybug Crafts Ink Baby Billie's Blocks . . .

The inside includes one of my favorite stamped sentiments from Rubber Cottage called "Every Child" . . .
