Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge: Shaped Cards

The Digi Bells design team over at the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog wants to see your Shaped cards.  A very lucky randomly selected entry will win TWO Elisabeth Bell digi images of their choice AND a prize from Elphine House Australia!  You can find out more about this challenge and sponsors here.

This sweet little lady has been working hard gathering a basket full of apples for her teachers.  You can find this wonderful clear stamp image designed by Elisabeth Bell included FREE as a set of three Pretty Ladies with three additional floral hair piece stamps in the July 2013 issue of QuickCards Magazine.

Here's a closer view of my Copic-filled image, hand-shaped as an apple.  I've airbrushed my cloudy sky background using diecuts from My Favorite Things Die-namics Cloud Trio set as masks.

An older Stampin' Up! red apple patterned paper is layered with Bazzill cardstock to form my Whimsy Shape EZ Happy Apple shaped card.  Faux stitching borders my card shape.  A strip of old burlap provides a diagonal border behind my image with a Cuddly Buddly worm button from a "Mixed Garden Brights" set tied with hemp cord on one side and a gingham ribbon bow on the other.

A Marianne Design Craftables Passe-Partout Rectangle diecut is popped up to hold a Close To My Heart Seasonal Sensation set "For You" stamped sign and a Sizzix original small green Fruit die apple die cut from chipboard then coated with glossy accents.  An additional hairpiece has been popped up and covered with glossy accents to hold her pony tail.

Card Art with Copics: Crafts and Me Stamps Daffodil Springs

Crafts and Me Stamps carries a wonderful selection of amazing digital and rubber stamps that are perfect for sharing springtime and Easter wishes.

I've used this beautiful digital mermaid surrounded by gorgeous blooming daffodils named Daffodil Springs by Hannah Lynn on an Easter card.  You can get your own digital Daffodil Springs here.

Here's a closer view of my Copic-filled image.  I've added Stardust Stickles over the daffodil petals and the butterfly in her hair.

 

I've layered Bazzill cardstock with Best Creation's A Walk in the Garden glitter paper.  A QuicKutz revolution scalloped corner, embossed with a QuicKutz revolution zebra goosebumps embossing folder, is popped up over the top corner of my image.  A Close To My Heart Say It In Style "Happy Easter" sentiment is popped up at the base of my image.  A Satin Sensations 5/8" Fuchsia ribbon bow lies near my sentiment.  Close To My Heart Bitty Sparkles are scattered throughout a Marianne Designs Creatables Branch Garden die that I've altered slightly to fit.

Card Art with Copics: Ladybug Crafts Ink Gossip Jess

Ladybug Crafts Ink carries a fabulous line of The Teenagers digital images featuring Jess and Josh.  I've used Gossip Jess to share loving birthday wishes.  You can find Gossip Jess here.

I've layered Bazzill white, dark and light pink with Wild Rose Studio Spring Fling paper stack patterns to form my twisted easel card.  Faux stitching provides a nice contrasting border.  Lifestyle Crafts Large Circles dies frame my image.  Wyla white ruffled lace adds a delicate touch.  A Stampin' Up! sentiment from a Sincere Salutations set is popped up in one corner while Zva Creative pink pearls and Marianne Design's Branch Forest adorn the others.  A pretty open-winged lady bug from an Elizabeth Die peeks out from a variety of handmade flowers, made from Punch Bunch punches that surround my image.

Here's a view of my card front that includes my layered flowers lightly painted with Diamond Stickles for sparkle.

This view shows the inside that includes a moving Birthday Love Peace stamped sentiment from Endless Creations.  I've lightly embellished with a Marianne Designs Branch Forest, an Elizabeth Dies closed wing lady bug and a handmade yellow paper white flower with a pearl in its center.

Card Art with Copics: Elisabeth Bell's Little Lamb

This beautiful, barefoot little lady, peacefully cuddling her soft baby lamb is a digital image, named Little Lamb, designed by Elisabeth Bell.  You can get your own Little Lamb at Elisabeth Bell's Digital Gallery here.

This photo shows my Copic-filled image.

 

Surrounding my image, you'll find handmade chrysanthemums, created by layering Punch Bunch daisy punches.  I've painted a thin layer of Star Dust Stickles over each petal for added sparkle.  A few McGill pine branch punches lie over a Marianne Designs Creatables Branch Forest die cut.

Here's a closer view of my Stampin' Up! sentiment from an older Happy Harmony set as punched using a 1" circle punch.  I've also stamped and used detail black embossing powder to add a heat embossed super shiny layer to a flowery label from an old Stampin' Up! Designer Label Punch Box set then punched it using their matching label punch.  Bits of Prima's Say It In Crystals adds delicate bling and a smaller handmade chrysanthemum continues the flowery theme.  A self-curling ribbon adds a border and knotted accent.

I've layered Bazzill cardstock with old Top Line Creations Autumn/Thanksgiving plaid patterned paper to form my tent card.  I used a Martha Stewart Rings Combo Holiday Punch Around the Page corner and border punch to create my tent card's lacey edge.  Some faux stitching with a Zig Pure Brown marker adds a homemade touch.  A Spellbinder's Large Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval frames my image.  A QuicKutz scalloped corner die cut with a dot of bling accents two corners.

Card Art with Copics: Elisabeth Bell's Li'l Lilian

This lovely little lady caters to her passion for painting as she begins another fabulous masterpiece.  She has been designed by Elisabeth Bell and her name is Li'l Lilian.  You can find her at the Elisabeth Bell Digital Gallery (here).

I've used  Li'l Lilian on a side open card with layers of clock and striped patterned papers from Bo Bunny's Time Piece Collection and Bazzill Kraft and burgundy cardstock.  A Home Pro copper metal corner adorns one corner of my image while a few black brads lie at two opposite corners of my card.  A swirl of Zva self-adhesive pearls accents the QuicKutz brush and palette die cuts.  A bit of Glossy Accents over the image's palette paint puddles and paint puddles on the die cut palette give a little wet-looking dimension.  A Marianne Design Creatables Branch Garden provides a natural border lined with a Recollections Wild Rose and some smaller roses.

Card Art with Copics: Crafts and Me Stamps Sea Star by Jasmine Becket-Griffith

It seems to me that this lovely fairy is ready to reward a loving Christmas star as she shares warm words with someone special. Her name is Sea Star and she has been designed by Jasmine Becket-Griffith exclusively for Crafts and Me Stamps.  Sea Star is available as a rubberstamp (here).  Perhaps Sea Star wasn't intended to be used on a Christmas/Winter card but it's the first thing I thought of when seeing this sweet image.

I've used a Lifestyle Crafts/Quickutz circle die to shape my fairy.  Here's a closer view of my Copic-filled image . . . 

I've used daisy punches in various sizes in my attempts to create handmade paperwhites (Christmas flowers) to scatter around my image.  I've used yellow Stickles as the flower centers and lightly painted Diamond Stickles over the petals and leaves for pretty sparkle.

I've layered Bazzill cardstock with TPC Studio Winter Whites Let It Snow and Winter Wonderland patterned paper.   My Purple Cow Deckle Edge rotary trimmer blade makes it easy to add a torn paper look to my paper layers.  I'm thrilled with the addition of a Marianne Design Creatables Icicle die cut for a top a border.  Snowflake shaped brads accent each side of my image.  The loving sentiment is from a Close To My Heart Pair-a-Phrase set.  A May Arts 5/8" fuzzy ribbon bow provides a soft accent.

Card Art with Copics: Elisabeth Bell's Frosty the Snowman

These sweet children are enjoying the latest snowfall while they build their very own snowman.  This incredibly cute digital image, designed by Elisabeth Bell, is named Frosty the Snowman.  You can find it at Elisabeth Bell's Digital Gallery here. 

This photo shows my Copic-filled version of this image.  I've added a bit of Marvy's white Liquid Applique to fluff up the little girl's hat and coat sleeves.

I've used my card scraps to make handmade Paper Whites (Christmas Flowers) to coordinate with my project.  I've painted the petals and leaves lightly with Diamond Stickles and added a drop of Yellow Stickles to each flower's center.

I've layered TPC Studio's Winter Whites Let it Snow and Winter Wonderland patterned paper with Bazzill cardstock. I'm thrilled to have found this magnificent icicle die by Marianne Design Creatables! I've been waiting for someone to come out with an easy way to make icicles!!! Jo-Ann's silver sparkly holiday ribbon provides a nice shiny bow in one corner. The Darice Charming Embellishments "Let It Snow Charms" have finally come to good use (I've had them for about 7 years!) - LOL!!! A Letterpress Cookie Cutter Snowman Kit provided me with the perfect hat to die cut from black sugar paper for amazing magical sparkle. My simple sentiment has also finally been put to good use as I've had my Stamping Sensations "Perfectly Said" stamp set for a very long time.

Copic Creations Challenge: Pretty In Pink

The current challenge over at the Copic Creations Challenge blog is to show use of your Copic pinks.   Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design (a.k.a. SCACD) is sponsoring this challenge and offering the entire SCACD exclusive Peekers #2 Collection to a randomly selected entry. You can find out more about this challenge and their sponsor here.

SCACD provided me with this adorable Sweet Cheeks Peeker image by Elisabeth Bell. Her sun suit looks like perfect beach attire for an end-of-summer shore visit. She looks so thoughtful at her young age and I hope that her curiosity doesn’t get the best of her.

I’ve attempted to place her on the shoreline as though she’s considering the rolling water or perhaps what’s below it. The sun is setting and it’ll be time to leave soon. Should she reach for that sea treasure or not? Hmmm.

After masking my Sweet Cheeks image, I stamped a Sarasota Stamps Naples Pier, a Sarasota Stamps clouds image and a Rubberstamp Tapestry shell as I tried to portray a beachy background.

I embellished a bit with Spellbinders Floral Flourishes, Marianne Design's Decorative Elegance and Punch Bunch and All Night Media flower and leaf punches.  A K&Company Sea Glass Metal Art charm adorns the ribbon.  The "imagine" sentiment is by Inkadinkado.
