Why Rosie's Book?

While growing up, I had a dear friend, Renee, that lived next door and with whom I spent much of my childhood. We grew, in different directions, and went on our merry way. Many years later, I ran into her parents and they kindly reminded me of the laughs they still have over my book. “What book?” I wondered with a puzzled look. "I don't remember a book." Hardy laughter accompanied their response. At some time during our childhood, I tried to convince Renee about something that her parents didn’t agree with. I told her that proof of its truth could be found “in my book.” Naturally she went home and tried to convince her parents of the same thing but they weren’t falling for it. She needed an edge and told them emphatically, “It’s in Rosie’s book!” After they caught their breaths from reborn laughter, they let me know how “Rosie’s book” has been cited for many other things throughout the years. They’ve also mentioned that they’d like to see “Rosie’s book” one day. I can’t remember all of the things that I said were in “my book” but I’m sure my dear friend’s parents can recall much more than I ever knew about – LOL!!! So, here it is . . . my version of things you might find In Rosie’s Book . . .

Crafts and Me Stamps Challenge: Shades of Spring

The digi design team over at the Crafts and Me Stamps challenge blog wants to see your Shades of Spring.  Crafts and Me Stamps is sponsoring this challenge and offering THREE digi images as a prize to the randomly selected winner.  You can find out more about this challenge and sponsor here.

Teresa has recently released two new lines of digital papers.  I printed sheets 10 and 20 from the new Floral Fantasy 12x12 range.  At first glance through the digi papers, they appear to be super bold and bright.  When printed, these gorgeous papers have a more subtle, realistic tone.

I used my bluish-toned sheet #10 and die cut it using my Sizzix Big Shot Pro 3D House die.  I've added a sweet home sentiment from the Crafty Secrets Home Sweet Home set die cut with the smallest of the Spellbinders Labels Five dies.  A bit of Creative Imaginations felt ribbon lines the roof.

The more pinkish-toned sheet #20 is die cut using my Sizzix Bigz Extra Long House Box.  A touch of cotton lace hangs from the inside of the door's window.

Here's a view of the front of my fairy houses . . .

I fussy cut around two of the recently released silhouette images: Nature Fairy and Fairy Friends to accent my fairy houses.

My only embellishments are a few flowers positioned behind the fence, between the houses. Flower Soft in mixed greens adorn each window.

I've got to share the side view too so you can see more of these marvelous digital papers . . .

and the back . . .

Now let's take a look inside at the fairy furniture . . . no, no, no - LOL!!! - I'm just kidding.

Fairies, butterflies, a little mouse, beautiful flowers, sweet colors . . . looks like Spring to me!

I'm entering this project into the following challenges:
